Aims and scope The aim of “Journal of Design Against Fatigue” is to publish papers dealing with various aspects of fatigue and design option to ensure satisfactory fatigue behavior and life of materials and components. Design Against Fatigue is an OPEN ACCESS journal. All manuscripts will be initially checked for plagiarism and then peer-reviewed by qualified reviewers. Peer-review is a single-blind assessment with at least two independent reviewers, followed by a final acceptance/rejection decision by the Editor-in-Chief or another academic editor approved by the Editor-in-Chief. The papers shall be written entirely in English. Contributions are welcome which address analytical, computational and experimental studies of all materials. Topics include, but are not limited to: - Effect of manufacturing process on Fatigue life - Fatigue of additive manufactured components - Effect of residual stress on fatigue - Shot peening and fatigue performance - Fatigue and fracture mechanics - Design options to improve fatigue life - Material selection- Microstructural and micromechanical modelling - Machine learning based approach to predict fatigue life - Environmental effects on fatigue life - Crack Propagation - Probabilistic aspects - Surface treatment for improvement of fatigue performance Guide for Authors and submission
